Indoor Display
Speaking Engagements:
When on display, the Flag is accorded the place of honor, always positioned to its own right. Place it to the right of the speaker or staging area or sanctuary.
Flagpoles:
The Assyrian Flag should be displayed following each country’s flag etiquette. The Assyrian flagpole topper is the Assyrian Imperial Standard “Ata Sargonaita/Flag of Sargon”.
Wall Display
When hanging the Flag against a wall, horizontally, the Flag’s Assur should be at the top, and when hanging it vertically the Flag’s Assur should be facing up.
ETIQUETTE
Displaying the Assyrian Flag in a respectful manner is an important factor in honoring its symbolism. There are several situations to keep in mind when hanging your Flag.
Construction
U.S. Executive Order 10834 specifies proportions for the flag, as recreated here.
The U.S. flag has a proportion of 1:1.9.
Each stripe is 1/13 the width of the hoist and each star is 4/5 the width of a stripe.
The union is the width of seven stripes and 2/5 the length of the fly.
